Happy Meal? As if...

Hey, if you want something cool to do over the next week, or so, check out the best website going. http://www.wechoosethemoon.org/ relives the Apollo 11 moon landing mission with incredible detail and access to real time (plus 40 years) NASA audio for the 40th anniversary of the greatest voyage in human history. Liftoff is around 9:30am on Thursday if you're interested and you'll be able to follow everything from the page and several social network sites, including the twitters. It should be great. I'll be wasting a lot of time tomorrow morning at work watching the liftoff and over the weekend as well, waiting for the lunar landing. Thanks to the JFK Presidential Library and Museum for constructing this site with great detail and respect for the mission.
To prep, I pulled out When We Left Earth tonight to watch again. I said it before, but its a great doc of the NASA missions. Few docs that I've seen are better. I highly recommend it. You can borrow it, but only if you rock the Blu Ray.
You gotta love NASA, right? Some might argue that, currently, there are better places to spend our money and they may be right. But they freaking take stuff on Earth and put it in space. They're like the repo men for the entire planet. They're getting rid of stuff that we don't have a use for here. I think the stuff they do is worth it for the most part. NASA is cool.

In other news, we find out if there are boy parts or girl parts on the baby on Tuesday. Can't wait. Aly is calling him "Beast", thinking its a boy and naming him from "Beauty and the Beast". So at least we've got a name for it. Mindee and I are hoping for girl parts, but we're all pretty sure (Aly included) that its a boy. Be among the first to know if you're following me on the twitters on Tuesday afternoon. Yup, this is what its come to. I'll be tweeting from the doctors office.
Aly starts soccer next month and guess who's her coach? Yep. Poor kids. They have no idea what's coming. Does this mean I get to pick the team name? Aly only wants to play because she knows she gets a new pair of shoes (cleats). I'm making her wear those things all the time. Better watch out. She'll go spikes up on ya.
Today at work we had unlimited floats (root beer, cream soda and orange soda). Now this sounds like a great idea, but trust me... its not. I haven't eaten any food since 1:30 and its almost 11:30 now. I can't stand the site of it. I've dumped 3 times since 2pm and my stomach hasn't stopped grumbling since. And for those not on the twitters, we're not calling them Orange Cow's. That's ridiculous. We're going with Orange Alpacas. And if we're counting at home, I had 5 in about 20 minutes.
